NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Courtney Paris scored 19 points and pulled down 18 rebounds as Oklahoma shook off a ragged start to beat Henderson State 110-to-40 in its first exhibition game.

Paris went 7-for-8 from the foul line with a handful that hit nothing but net on the way down. Freshman Danielle Robinson added 18 and sophomore Rose Hammond had 14 for the Sooners, who turned over the ball on each of their first two possessions in a sometimes sloppy performance Thursday night.

Of course, the Sooners could afford to commit 11 first-half turnovers against the NCAA Division II Lady Reddies, but national powerhouses Maryland and Tennessee won't be as forgiving.

Jazmine Ellis scored 19 points on 4-for-18 shooting for Henderson State, which brought in six freshmen and five transfers this season to fill their depleted roster.
