CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Vinny Testaverde left Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts in the third quarter with an ankle injury.
The injury happened late in the second half when Vinny Testaverde handed off to DeShaun Foster, and left guard Mike Wahle appeared to step on the quarterback's right ankle.
Testaverde finished the half but was replaced by David Carr after halftime, and was seen on the sideline with an ice pack on the ankle.
Team officials said Testaverde's return was questionable. He completed 12 of 20 passes for 82 yards in the first half before leaving.
