BALTIMORE (AP) -- A fuel tanker that was hijacked this morning in Baltimore has been found in nearby Washington, D.C.
Police say the truck was carrying 7,100 gallons of diesel fuel when it was taken at gunpoint from a city fuel depot in Baltimore early today.
The driver was fueling the tractor-trailer when he was confronted by a man with a handgun. The gunman forced the driver out of the truck and took off.
The truck was found abandoned about eight hours later.
Authorities are treating the incident as a robbery. They don't think there's any connection to terrorism.
