WRIGHT CITY, Okla. (AP) _ An Arkansas truck driver is dead after the semi he was driving was hit by a train in southeastern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says James Wise of Wickes, Arkansas, died in the crash Thursday.

Troopers say Wise was southbound on State Highway 98 when he drove his rig into the path of the train near Wright City in McCurtain County.

The train's engineer is hospitalized in serious condition with head and other injuries while the conductor and brakeman were treated for minor injuries and released.
