A man is shot multiple times while sitting in his car at a Tulsa apartment complex. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday near Marshall and North Harvard Avenue. Six in the Morning’s Carina Sonn reports, right now, Tulsa police cannot say if the shooting is gang related, and TPD's Gang Unit says it is not familiar with the victim.

Tulsa Police say Matthew Douglas, 31, was sitting in his car when someone opened fire, shooting him several times. He managed to drive away, but he wrecked his car hitting a power pole guy wire before crashing into a fence a couple of blocks from the shooting, said officers.

Douglas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers found shell casings and tire marks at the scene. Witnesses told police they saw a white SUV with a flat tire leave the area after the shooting.

Investigators say they are still not sure how Douglas knew the gunman.

"The car is being towed, the investigators are going to go through the car shortly. We did not find any drugs or any weapons or anything like that. So this is a real life who-done-it," said Tulsa Police Captain Walter Evans.

About 120 houses lost power for more than three hours while authorities investigated the scene. PSO says all power has been restored.

If you have any information about this homicide, you are asked to call Crimestoppers, 596-COPS. You can remain anonymous and could earn a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest in the case.
