EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- A 16-year-old Edmond girl is in the hospital after being hit by a car near a busy trolley stop.
Police say Hannnah Courtright injured her left leg and may have suffered internal bleeding after being hit by the car as she was crossing Edmond Road just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say Courtright was crossing the street outside the crosswalk when a car clipped her and knocked her to the ground.
Courtright is a student at Edmond Memorial High School and officers say citizens have complained that students waiting for the trolley to take them to school have been a problem for drivers in the past.
