BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) _ Kentucky quarterback Andre' Woodson, Auburn linebacker Tray Blackmon and Alabama return specialist Javier Arenas were named the Southeastern Conference players of the week on Monday.
Woodson completed 21 of 38 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns in Kentucky's 43-37 triple-overtime win over then-No. 1 LSU. He also had a 12-yard touchdown run and his 7-yard pass to Steve Johnson in the third overtime proved the game-winner for the Wildcats.
Blackmon had nine tackles, including six solo stops, in the Tigers' 9-7 win at Arkansas. Auburn held Arkansas to 193 total yards, including just 67 on the ground. The Razorbacks came into the game leading the SEC in rushing offense, averaging 338.4 yards per game.
Arenas returned two punts for 71 yards and four kickoffs for 93 yards in Alabama's 27-24 win against Mississippi. His 54-yard punt return with 8:56 left in the game set up the Crimson Tide's game-tying touchdown drive.
The offensive lineman of the week was Tennessee center Josh McNeil. Ole Miss defensive end Greg Hardy won defensive line honors and Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno was freshman of the week.
