DALLAS (AP) -- A cold front rolling eastward across parts of the Southwest has led to heavy storms in North Texas.

The storms flooded roads, damaged buildings and knocked out power to thousands of homes and businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The rainy weather snarled traffic and caused numerous accidents.

It's being blamed for at least one death. A driver in Denton was killed when his car slid into the path of an oncoming truck on a wet road.

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport reported more than 100 canceled flights and delays of up to 90 minutes.
