A woman could be charged with child endangerment, after police say she used her toddler as a shield against a taser gun. Police say a bounty hunter tracked a suspect named Joe Hawkins to an Oklahoma City apartment complex Friday night. Hawkins got into a car and the bounty hunter fired his taser gun, authorities say.
Police say a woman in the car held up the 2-year-old boy, in an apparent attempt to block the taser. The boy suffered only minor injuries, police said. The child was hit in the hand with one of the taser probes. Since he was hit by only one probe, he was not shocked.
Police arrested the mother and two other women at the scene, but Hawkins got away.
