Jail Inmate Charged In Escape

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A Muskogee man who escaped from the Muskogee County Jail last week now has been charged with the escape, which is a felony.<br/><br/>Authorities charged Jeff McElhaney on Friday.

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A Muskogee man who escaped from the Muskogee County Jail last week now has been charged with the escape, which is a felony.

Authorities charged Jeff McElhaney on Friday. He faces a hearing next Friday in Muskogee County District Court.

Jeff McElhaney escaped from the Muskogee County jail on Sunday night, but was returned to custody about 15 hours later.
