ELGIN, Okla. (AP) -- Sophomores on the Elgin High School football team will start Friday night's game in honor of a teammate who died last weekend. Sixteen-year-old sophomore Dakota Johnson died Sunday after being found facedown in his yard. The cause of death is still under investigation.
Ten sophomores will start the game against Santa Fe South in Oklahoma City with one position left open in a tribute to Johnson.
After the first play the team will call a time-out for a moment of silence.
Johnson's funeral was Thursday at the Elgin high school gymnasium with nearly 1,000 people attending.
