TU Taking Over Gilcrease Museum

The University of Tulsa will take over management of one of Green Countryâ€™s most respected museums. The TU board of trustees and the university's president approved a deal to take over management of the Gilcrease Museum.

The change should take place next summer.

The city will still own the museum, its collection and property, but TU will handle all the operations.

Museum functions are currently split between city employees and a non-profit group created to help with fundraising and marketing.
