Tulsa Fire hazmat crews were busy early Tuesday morning because of an oil spill in south Tulsa. The spill caused quite a mess for motorists heading to work. The incident was on 71st Street at about Joplin, between Yale and Sheridan.

Tulsa Police say someone took a decorated concrete ball larger than a bowling ball from a nearby apartment complex and rolled it into the street. A semi truck hit the concrete ball, which caused damage to the truck’s crankcase.

Fire officials say the truck leaked about a dozen gallons of engine oil, which took about an hour to clean up.
