The 2007 Tulsa State Fair is in the books and the preliminary numbers show business was down.
In spite of relatively good weather, attendance dropped 7% over last year's fair. The big hit came on the midway where sales fell 29%.
Rick Bjorklund, Fairgrounds CEO, says he doesn't think the absence of Bell's Amusement Park is the reason.
"We don't have any theories right now. We're going to certainly review and discuss and we'll come up with ways that we can improve or increase those areas where we lack, and try to enhance those areas where we were succeeding," Fairgrounds CEO Rick Bjorklund said.
The slogan for next year's fair has already been chosen, it’s "We're on a Roll."
