The Tulsa State Fair offers a junk food paradise. The Six In The Morning team headed out to the midway to check out each variety of food on a stick. Anchors Rich Lenz and LeAnne Taylor were joined by meteorologist Alan Crone and reporter Carina Sonn as they sampled and rated each of the offerings.
The fried mashed potatoes on a stick rated in the top 2 for each. Six In The Morning anchor Rich Lenz picked the sausage roll as his favorite for the main course. Other items sampled by the crew included fried shrimp on a stick, gator on a stick, pretzel balls, and even Spam on a stick.
Of course, the midway fare isn’t all fried meat. There are plenty of fried desserts, too.
The frozen cheesecake on a stick was rated in the top 3 by everyone. Six In the Morning anchor LeAnne Taylor picked the fried Snickers as number 1 on her list. But, she noted, the visit to the Tulsa State Fair did take a toll on her.
“After all that, I was sick. I mean we just ate and ate and ate,†says Six In The Morning anchor LeAnne Taylor.
