CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A 66-year-old Claremore man is dead after the scooter he was riding was hit by a car in Rogers County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Ronald Gougler died in the accident on a county road just west of Claremore.

Troopers say Gougler had slowed to make a turn about 7:45 p.m. Thursday when his scooter was hit from behind by a car driven by Jerrad Thorson of Claremore.
