DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) _ A 16-year-old kite surfer is hospitalized in serious condition after being driven into power lines by a gust of wind.

Pinellas County sheriff's deputies say Christopher Bryan Kenny of Clearwater was kit surfing in St. Joseph Sound yesterday afternoon when the wind pulled him from the water and sent him into power lines.

Witnesses say Kenny plunged between 20 and 30 feet to the ground. He's now hospitalized in Tampa.
