A Tulsa woman needed stitches after she was bitten by a pit bull dog Wednesday morning. Tulsa Police say when they arrived, three dogs were running loose in a neighborhood in the 4600 block of South 25th West Avenue.
Police officers say one of three dogs bit the woman in the ankle.
Witnesses told Tulsa Police where the dogs belonged. Police knocked on the door of the home, but one answered the door. City of Tulsa animal control officers picked up all three dogs.
Tulsa Police say dogs that bite are usually impounded and kept for ten days for observation and the owners are usually fined.
