The Chelsea Police Department has released the 911 tape from a school threat earlier this week in hopes the public can identify the caller. Chelsea Police Chief Dustin Chadwell tells the News On 6 if anyone recognizes the voice to call their police department.
The 911 phone call was made at 1:15 p.m. Monday from a pay phone at the Jiffy Mart on state Highway 66 in Chelsea. After the call, police say all Chelsea school buildings were evacuated. Chadwell says a second call to 911, made from a pay phone in Foyil, stated police response time was slow. Chadwell says the second 911, which was not released, appears to have been made by the same person who made the first 911 call.
