NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Total fall enrollment at the University of Oklahoma's three campuses is up slightly from last year to nearly 30,000 students. OU officials say enrollment increased nearly 1% to 29,931 at OU's campuses in Norman, Tulsa and the health sciences complex in Oklahoma City. The total Norman on-campus enrollment is 23,126, also a slight increase from last year.
OU's freshman class, the largest in the university's history at 3,865 students enrolled at the beginning of the semester, contributed significantly to the growth. The previous record of 3,833 freshman was set in 2002.
Oklahoma State University officials reported last week that overall enrollment at its five campuses declined about 0.4% to 32,265 this fall.
