Grand Lake’s shoreline management plan should be completed before the end of the year. Right now, the GRDA Board of Directors is accepting comments from the public on the proposed plan.

GRDA officials say over the past two years, a private consulting firm has developed the comprehensive plan. GRDA spokesperson Justin Alberty calls the plan a road map to help GRDA manage Grand Lake’s shoreline into the future.

Two public meetings are scheduled in October and Alberty says each meeting will include a question and answer session. The first meeting is October 2 at 6 p.m. at Cleora School Gym at state Highway 85 and East 295 Road. The second meeting is an October 4 at 6 p.m. at the Grove Community Center at 104 West 3rd in Grove.

After the 30-day comment period, the GRDA board is expected to vote on the plan.
