TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Tulsa's women's cross country team dominated en route to a victory at the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo. Tulsa's men placed sixth overall.
Junior Alex Becker won the womens 5K race in 16:33, beating her personal record by over a minute.
The women's team defeated second place finisher and host Missouri Southern 46-122. Tulsa had four other top-20 finishers.
It was a banner day for the TU women -- every returning letterwinner ran a personal record time. The women's race featured 301 participants and 37 teams.
The TU mens team finished sixth out of 36 teams with a combined team score of 248, in a field of 335 participants.
Top finisher for the men was sophomore Kyle Dekker who finished in 24:26 in the 8K race.
