McALESTER, Okla. (AP) - The McAlester Fire Department's only ladder truck is out of service for at least four weeks after it hit a power line.

When the truck's 95-foot aerial platform ladder struck the power line on August 27, 10,000 volts of electricity shot through the truck and left a hole in the concrete parking area where the truck sat.

No firefighters on the truck were injured.
