Gearing Up For The Home Opener

The University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane is 1-0 on the football season and after a week off, the team is gearing up to take on Brigham Young University at home Saturday evening. The game kicks off Saturday at 8 p.m. at Chapman Stadium. The News On 6 is proud to be a sponsor of the home opener and Six In The Morningâ€™s Rich Lenz was at TU Friday morning to see how the University of Tulsa is preparing for the game.

The News On 6 also took a look at the new $10 million Case Athletic Complex. The new complex is impressive and TU officials say it would not have been possible without the backing of Mike Case, a local developer and philanthropist. School officials are expecting a large crowd Saturday and with that in mind, Tulsa Police say those attending the game should be aware 8th Street between Gary and College Avenues and Florence Avenue between 8th and 11th Streets will be closed from 4 p.m. until Midnight on Saturday.
