An Arkansas man who forced a Southwest Airlines flight to make an emergency landing in Tulsa last year has been sentenced to five years probation. Danny Hughey Junior pleaded guilty to federal charges earlier this year, after he stabbed another passenger twice in the back of the neck and once in the hand with a ballpoint pen last year.
Hughey told the federal judge in Tulsa, he had heard voices, telling him the other passenger was going to hijack the plane.
Hughey has a history of mental problems.
The plane was flying from Las Vegas to Little Rock when it was diverted to Tulsa.
