STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ The committee that's searching for a new president at Oklahoma State is starting to evaluate applicants for the job. OSU has been advertising nationally as part of its search for a successor to David Schmidly who resigned in February to become president of the University of New Mexico.
The names of the applicants are not being released. Search committee chairman and OSU regent Doug Burns says he's pleased the number and the quality of the candidates.
After reviewing the applicants the search committee will identify those it wants to interview to narrow the list further.
OSU senior Vice President Marlene Strathe is currently serving as interim president.
