Cattle Drive Planned Along Chisholm Trail

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A cattle drive is being planned along the historic Chisholm Trail across Oklahoma and into Kansas. <br/><br/>The drive is to start Monday near Ryan at the Red River in southern Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A cattle drive is being planned along the historic Chisholm Trail across Oklahoma and into Kansas.

The drive is to start Monday near Ryan at the Red River in southern Oklahoma. It's to end October 5th in Caldwell, Kansas.

The drovers are planning several stops along the drive as they pass through Minco, Union City, Okarche and Kingfisher.

The drive is to camp at Fort Reno from September 21st through 24th.

The drovers are hoping to move the cattle across the North Canadian River but those plans could change because of the river's level due to recent flooding.
