A hit and run accident overnight sends one person to the hospital and leaves police looking for the suspect. It happened around 5 a.m. Wednesday near the Holiday Inn at Skelly and Yale.
A woman who worked at the hotel was about to pull into the parking lot when her pick-up was hit by an SUV. The impact knocked her vehicle into the grass. When the woman went inside the hotel for help, the other driver abandoned his vehicle and ran off.
The woman was taken to the hospital to be checked out but appears to be okay.
Police believe the driver of the SUV had been drinking.
