OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- With flood waters going down all 50 of Oklahoma's state parks will be open for the Labor Day weekend. But the cost of gas could make it expensive to get to those parks. AAA says the average cost for a gallon of self-serve regular in Oklahoma is $2.90 a gallon Friday. That's 13 cents higher than the national average.
Charlie Price in the Oklahoma attorney general's office says people have been asking if the gas prices violate any laws. But he says there are no apparent violations of either the price-gouging law or the price-fixing law.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and the Oklahoma Lake Patrol will be on the roads and lakes during the weekend looking for drunken drivers, speeders, people not wearing seat belts and anyone violating boating laws.
Troopers say ten people died in auto accidents during the Labor Day weekend last year.
