The northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 169 at 56th Street North in Owasso are back open after an incident early Friday morning. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol closed the section of highway around 3:30 a.m. Friday when a concrete truck lost its load.
OHP troopers say the concrete truck was northbound on U.S. Highway 169 when a safety chain came off, causing fresh concrete to come out of the chute of the truck and into the roadway.
Fire crews had to shuttle in water and scrape the concrete off the road.
