Friday Football Fever Game Of The Week: Muskogee At Broken Arrow

Each and every week The News on 6 sports team will highlight one football game, itâ€™s called the Friday Football Fever Game of the Week. For our first week out News On 6 sports reporter JB Long will be on hand at the Muskogee-Broken Arrow match-up.

Number 3 Muskogee will pay a visit to the #5 Tigers on Friday, August 30th. Broken Arrow, lead by new head coach Ron Lancaster, hasnâ€™t won a season opener in five years, but the Tigers may have an edge this season.

Coach Ron Lancaster has a long distinguished career in high school football. Heâ€™s coached at Jenks, Enid, Sallisaw and Muskogee. Lancaster helped bring Muskogeeâ€™s program back to the top and he groomed the Roughers current coach, and Lancasterâ€™s former player at Jenks, Matt Hennesey to take his place after the 2005 season.

The Friday Football Fever Game of the Week is Muskogee at Broken Arrow, kick off is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 30th at Memorial Stadium.
