Thousands of Oklahomans do not have health insurance, but the state’s insurance commissioner wants to change that. Kim Holland wants to expand coverage and reduce the cost of health insurance in our state. Her office plans to do that with OK Chat, which involves community meetings and an advanced computer program that will help Oklahomans collaborate with the state to define basic health needs.
"This result will provide the basis for our taskforce's work for a basic plan that our legislature can consider," said Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland.
Thirty-one communities are taking part in the program which ends in October. For more on OK Chat and which communities are involved you can give them a call at 1-800-522-0071, or click here for OK Chat dates and locations.
