Hurricane Katrina destroyed thousands of homes and lives in Louisiana and Mississippi. Joann Cheneau escaped with her family and made her way to Norman, Oklahoma. She was forced to leave behind her daughter Joan, whose body was identified as a flood victim several months later.

"I trust God. Even though the end result was the death of my daughter, I still trust God, cause he's the one who got me through this," says Joann Cheneau.

Joann is about to publish a book about her experience. It's called ‘Peace in the Midst of the Storm.’

Joann Cheneau says she wrote the book to encourage people to keep their faith in God, regardless of life's problems.
