Medical help is on the way for more uninsured Oklahomans. Good Samaritan Health Services dedicated its new mobile medical center Tuesday. The 60-foot unit will travel throughout Tulsa serving people who cannot afford health care.
The new medical unit has three exam rooms, a lab and a pharmacy, and it will enable doctors to see more patients.
“We know that part of the problem we have in the community quite honestly is lack of transportation,†said Dr. John Crouch with Good Samaritan Health Services. “So our mobile medical unit enables us to go specifically into the neighborhood of need and provide quality health services.â€
The doctors will begin seeing their first patients Wednesday. The clinic makes stops all over the area, for more on the mobile clinic visit their website, www.goodsamaritanhealth.org.
