OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says traffic fatalities in the state this year are down from the same point in 2006.

The OHP says that 423 people have died this year in accidents on state roads. That's compared to 469 through this time last year.

The OHP says 41 people have died this month in traffic accidents in Oklahoma.
