OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma City police say a man is dead after driving into Lake Overholser early Wednesday morning. Officers say 27-year-old Jason Terry was killed after driving his car into the south side of the lake about 12:30 a.m. His body and the car were recovered a few hours later.

Sergeant Gary Knight says it appears Terry was speeding when he drove through a guardrail and across a grass field into the lake.

Knight says it's not clear what caused Terry to swerve off the roadway in the first place.
