TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- After its second trip to the NCAA tournament in three years, Oral Roberts will get an early start on basketball practice this weekend.

The Golden Eagles will work out twice Saturday as they take advantage of 10 extra days of practice they receive by participating in an exhibition tour in Canada over Labor Day weekend.

Coach Scott Sutton says a similar four-day tour in 2003 helped another young Oral Roberts team exceed expectations. That tour took place when Caleb Green and Ken Tutt were freshmen.

Now, the Golden Eagles are trying to replace the tandem that led them in scoring the past four seasons.

Oklahoma will also get an early start on practice next week. The Sooners have a similar trip to Canada over Labor Day.
