NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma running back Allen Patrick is on the sidelines for the time being after spraining his right ankle during practice this week.

The severity of the injury hasn't been released but it's the same ankle Patrick injured last November against Texas A&M and he missed the next two games.

Patrick is expected to be the Sooners starter at tailback this season.

OU does not practice Friday but has a scrimmage scheduled for Saturday morning starting at 11.
