People couldn't wait to see their favorite players up close at the PGA Championship. If you don't have a ticket scalpers are lining up to sell you one, but security says if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. News On 6 anchor Latoya Silmon reports security hasn't seen any duplicate tickets yet, but they say fakes are a real possibility. So if you buy a ticket off the street, buyer beware.

It's the hottest ticket in town.

“Best players in Tulsa. You don't get to see this very often,” golf fan TJ Dickinson said.

And some fans are doing whatever they can to get in.

“Actually I volunteered, so they didn't cost me anything,” Dickinson said.

“Paid about $250 from a guy but it was worth it,” said golf fan Jamie Peterson.

He bought his ticket from a friend, but there are people who hope you won't mind buying from a stranger.

“I got Wanamaker Club tickets for Sunday. I got Wanamaker for everyday Saturday and Sunday,” said Bob Woessner who’s trying to sell his PGA tickets.

Bob Woessner says he is willing to make a deal to part with them, but PGA Security say think twice before you buy.

“Scalpers are a problem at any major sporting event, you know that's how they make their money,” said Dan Sidders, PGA Security. “They get a whole bunch of series of tickets or again they make bad tickets.”

Bob says he's no pro; he just wants to unload tickets he doesn't need. But PGA security says buyers can never be too careful, because tickets can be duplicated.

“Absolutely possible, but we have a system in effect where all the tickets get scanned and once that ticket gets scanned it becomes an invalid ticket, so people trying to duplicate a ticket, it won't work with our scanners,” Sidders said.

So far security says it hasn't come across any fake tickets, but again it's highly possible. So they stress to do the right thing and buy the tickets at Southern Hills.
