A pair of shootings overnight in Tulsa keeps police officers busy. A woman was taken to a Tulsa hospital after she was shot in the back. Tulsa Police were called to a home at 200 East Ute around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. The woman living in the home was having an argument with a male acquaintance when he fired several rounds, hitting her once. Her 11-year old son called 911 and the shooter left.
The victim was up and walking when Tulsa Police arrived but was transported to the hospital by ambulance. We do not know her condition.
About a half hour before that shooting, three women were hospitalized and two people arrested following another shooting. Tulsa Police were called to the 4500 block of North Detroit around 4 a.m. Thursday. Police found the women inside a Ford Mustang littered with bullet holes and the tires flattened. Police say one woman was hit in the leg, the other two in the arm. Their injuries are not life threatening.
A fourth woman was not hurt. Police tell the News On 6, the shooting apparently took place about a half mile away in the 4900 block of North Boulder. Police believe the shootings were in retaliation for an altercation earlier that included gunfire. The woman who was not hurt and an unidentified man are in custody.
An investigation into both shootings continue.
