OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma State will host Washington and visit Pittsburgh as part of a 30-game regular-season schedule for the 2007-2008 basketball season.
Oklahoma State released its full season schedule Tuesday, although parts of it had already been previously known. The Cowboys also have yet to determine an opponent for a nonconference home game on Dec. 8.
Washington, which went 19-12 last season and has made the NCAA tournament three of the past four seasons, will visit Stillwater on Dec. 1 as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series, and the Cowboys will play at Pittsburgh two weeks later.
OSU last played Washington on Dec. 21, 1999, winning 84-72, and is 7-3 all-time against the Huskies. Pittsburgh lost 95-89 to the Cowboys in double overtime last Dec. 21 in the All-College Classic in Oklahoma City. OSU is 4-3 all-time against the Panthers.
Unlike last season, when the Cowboys opened with five straight home games and didn't play a true road game until Jan. 10, Oklahoma State will go on the road before Thanksgiving this coming season.
After hosting Prairie View A&M to open the season on Nov. 9, the Cowboys will visit North Texas on Nov. 14.
OSU then will play in the EA Sports Maui Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii, from Nov. 19-21, opening against Louisiana State. Other teams in the tournament are Marquette, Chaminade, Duke, Princeton, Arizona State and Illinois.
The Cowboys then will return home for three games, starting with the Washington game.
On Dec. 20, OSU will play in-state rival Oral Roberts in Oklahoma City in the All-College Classic, a game that will feature a coaching matchup between brothers -- OSU's Sean Sutton and ORU's Scott Sutton.
A game against Texas-Arlington on Dec. 22 will start a season-long five-game homestand that will conclude with the Cowboys' Big 12 Conference opener on Jan. 12 against Texas Tech.
Bedlam games against Oklahoma are set for Jan. 28 in Norman and March 5 in Stillwater. Perennial Big 12 and national powers Texas and Kansas also will visit Gallagher Iba Arena, on Jan. 21 and Feb. 23, respectively. OSU will close the regular season March 9 at Texas.
Other nonconference home opponents for the Cowboys will include Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Dec. 5, Texas Arlington on Dec. 22, Northwestern State (La.) on Dec. 31, Texas-San Antonio on Jan. 2 and Rogers State of the NAIA on Jan. 7.
Former OSU player Brooks Thompson is the coach at Texas-San Antonio, while former OSU administrative assistant Wren Baker is Rogers State's coach.
As many as 16 of OSU's regular-season games will be televised nationally.
The Cowboys' exhibition games will be against a pair of in state NCAA Division II schools, Panhandle State on Nov. 2 and East Central on Nov. 6.
The Cowboys started last season 15-1 before finishing 22 13 after a first-round loss to Marist in the National Invitation Tournament.
