SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) _ A jockey from Oklahoma who won two legs of thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown in 1961 is inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

Jockey John Sellers of Tulsa rode Carry Back to wins in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in 1961 before finishing seventh in the Belmont Stakes.

Sellers was the nation's leading jockey by wins in 1961 with 328, riding eight winners on one day to tie a U.S. record.

During his career, Sellers won 2,797 races and the horses he rode won almost $18 million in purse money.

Also inducted into the racing hall yesterday was jockey Jose Santos, who rode Funny Cide to wins in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in 2003.

Rounding out this year's induction class were former trainer John Veitch, trainers Henry Forrest and Frank McCabe, Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm and horses Mom's Command and Swoon's Son.
