Truck Accident Shuts Down Highway

A two semi truck accident shut down the eastbound lanes of I-244 in Tulsa for several hours Monday morning. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say that just before 9 a.m. a semi truck swerved to avoid a stalled car. The semiâ€™s empty trailer swung around and hit the rail of the overpass. That caused more than half of the trailer to hang out over Mingo Road.

OHP troopers say a delivery truck and another semi were also involved in the accident, but no one was seriously injured.

The accident did cause another minor traffic accident nearby on I-244. No one was injured in that mishap.

The highway was reopened to traffic shortly before noon.
