A two semi truck accident shut down the eastbound lanes of I-244 in Tulsa for several hours Monday morning. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say that just before 9 a.m. a semi truck swerved to avoid a stalled car. The semi’s empty trailer swung around and hit the rail of the overpass. That caused more than half of the trailer to hang out over Mingo Road.
OHP troopers say a delivery truck and another semi were also involved in the accident, but no one was seriously injured.
The accident did cause another minor traffic accident nearby on I-244. No one was injured in that mishap.
The highway was reopened to traffic shortly before noon.
