A Sapulpa resident is dead following an early Friday morning traffic accident in Sapulpa. The accident happened about 6:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of South 49th West Avenue.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a car, driven by 25-year-old Lyle Drew, struck the rear of a semi turning into an industrial park area. Drew died at the scene, a passenger in the car was transported to a Tulsa hospital and is listed in stable condition

No one in the truck was hurt.
