Chandler Finishes Stint At USA Basketball Camp

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Tyson Chandler of the New Orleans Hornets and 16 other players participate in the State Farm USA Basketball Challenge Sunday as USA Basketball's training camp for the senior national team ends.

The three-day camp began Friday in Las Vegas

The camp began yesterday and will run through tomorrow in Las Vegas.

USA Basketball coaches now must pick 12 players to represent the U.S. in the FIBA Americas Championship, which will be held from August 22nd through September 2nd in Las Vegas.

The tournament will determine the two teams from the Americas that will qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Hornets point guard Chris Paul usually is in the national-team pool but is sitting out this summer after recovering from foot surgery.
