LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser won the AVP Crocs Tour beach volleyball tournament Sunday, beating Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal, 21-16, 19-21, 15-9.
Rogers and Dalhausser won six of the 11 tournaments played this year, but Sunday's victory broke a four-event losing streak.
Rogers and Dalhausser won the first game, but Gibb and Rosenthal fought back in the second game, helped by a vocal crowd supporting Rosenthal, a beach volleyball legend-in-the-making from nearby Redondo Beach.
In the third and deciding game, Dalhausser and Rogers got ahead early and closed out the match and the tournament.
The duo's win followed a victory by Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh in the women's final Saturday.
After a week off, the AVP's next stop is Chicago, Aug. 2-5.
