OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A Los Angeles gang member suspected of killing two people in a home invasion robbery was arrested in Oklahoma City, police said Thursday.

Johnathon Christopher Blackwell, 26, was arrested without incident about 11 a.m. Wednesday in northwest Oklahoma City after police received an anonymous tip, police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said.

Blackwell is accused of shooting three people and killing two with a .25-caliber revolver during a robbery attempt on Dec. 31, 2006. An accomplice was arrested after the robbery, but Blackwell was able to escape, Los Angeles police said.

It was unclear how long he had been in Oklahoma City, but he was thought to be using the name Marco Lee and staying at an apartment near where he was arrested, Balderrama said.

Blackwell, who was arrested on a warrant for murder, was being held without bail Thursday at the Oklahoma County jail. He was expected to be extradited to California.

Balderrama said Blackwell was first arrested by Oklahoma City police on Monday on misdemeanor complaints of aiding in prostitution and possession of a firearm, but gave police a false name.

``Unfortunately, the next morning he bonded out before the fingerprint check came back,'' Balderrama said.
