BLANCHARD, Okla. (AP) _ A golfer from the University of Oklahoma wins the Women's Oklahoma Golf Association Stroke Play Championship Tuesday.
Edmond native Kendall Dye, who will be a junior at OU, shot a 2-under-par 70 to finish with a two-round total of 2-over 146 at Winter Creek Golf Club in Blanchard.
Dye edged Michaela Cavener by one shot, while longtime state amateur standout Patty Coatney finished third, two shots back.
The Stroke Play Championship is one of five championship events put on annually by the WOGA.
