Monday’s storms in Tulsa packed quite a punch. Pea-size hail pelted parts of downtown and midtown Tulsa shortly after 5 p.m. The storms also caused a headache for drivers. Two westbound lanes of I-244 were closed down Monday afternoon after electrical wires fell on the highway.
Tulsa firefighters say two wires on a sagging utility pole were pulled down by passing big rigs. The tension snapped one pole, and caused another to lean. PSO quickly turned off the power and fixed the poles.
No one was hurt.
