Oklahoma's largest school district continues to extend a helping hand to flood victims. Led by superintendent Zolkowski, Tulsa Public Schools employees collected hundreds of pounds of items to help get Miami residents back on their feet. In addition to food and water, recovery and cleanup items were also loaded up for Friday’s shipment.
"People have been devastated by their losses and we thought we'd send them some food, and some water, and some stuff that they need until they can get by," Tulsa Public Schools superintendent Dr. Michael Zolkowski said.
Tulsa Public Schools sent a truck load of donations to Bartlesville earlier this week to help flood victims there.
